Description

The HUMAN musical work as well as lyrics of world literature set powerful accents for a peaceful community.

The HUMAN Suite for orchestra and percussion by Helge Burggrabe is a homage to UN human rights and powerfully expresses facets and dimensions of humanness. With the soundscape of an orchestra and in the interaction of tensions and contrasts, the thirteen musical pieces explore the meanings of freedom and equality, of brotherhood, protection and love, of home and protection, of the right to work and to creativity.

The composition is designed as a circle of life, it begins with birth and the basic needs of all human beings and ends with death. The compositional dramaturgy leads to the heights of a worthy life as well as to the depths of an inhuman life.
