For HUMAN project initiator and composer Helge Burggrabe, a special focus from the very beginning was on translating HUMAN HUMAN music into dance. The form of community dance in particular invites people - regardless of previous dance experience, age, traditions and lifestyles, national, cultural or religious affiliation - to experience the basic themes of being human together and to move the senses in a double sense of the word.

This is impressively demonstrated by the premiere of the HUMAN Community Dance performance at the Bremen Theatre and the performance at the Royal Flemish Theatre in Brussels (summer 2021) under the direction of the internationally active team of choreographers led by Wilfried van Poppel and Amaya Lubeigt.

The HUMAN music can be purchased as a CD via the online store of the Kulturbüro Helge Burggrabe or as CD and vinyl for example via amazon. Schools, orchestras and theatres can obtain the CD at the special price of 12€/CD (plus postage). Request gladly here.

There are no guidelines for the interpretation of HUMAN music in dance. Choreographers, dancers, dance teachers and dance companies are warmly invited to interpret HUMAN music with their own ideas.

We would be grateful for relevant conception information and would also be happy to include dates of upcoming events in our HUMAN Terminkalender auf. Sende uns einfach here .

  • Movement and dance to HUMAN music enable - not only in the subjects of music and sport - a creative, playful approach to basic themes of being human and human rights.
  • A project week could focus on the preparation and design of a school-internal or public HUMAN dance performance - in which the HUMAN music is played on CD or in which the school orchestra plays live.
  • The HUMAN music can inspire the development of a community dance choreography: developed together with the students or by teachers. This is possible royalty-free.
  • HUMAN choreographers can be invited and engaged for a "Five days to dance project week" at the school. This intensive pedagogical-artistic project week is rounded off with an internal or public HUMAN Community Dance performance. Between 50 and 120 pupils can take part in such a HUMAN Community Dance project week; the number of participating choreographers varies with the number of participants.


We gladly accept experiences with HUMAN projects and publish them on the HUMAN website with the name of the school and the responsible teacher. We are always open to new HUMAN project ideas and can put you in touch with our HUMAN choreographer team if required You can contact us here .

Numerous "HUMAN Five-days-to-Dance-Projects" have already been carried out in schools under the leadership of Wilfried van Poppel and Amaya Lubeigt (D, ESP, P, NL). They also led the inclusive HUMAN Community Dance project with a performance at the First European Inclusive Congress in Zurich (15.6.2022) and in Beit Sahur (Palestine) in July 2022.
