The audience at the packed Volkstheater Rostock on 2 and 3 July expressed their thanks to all the performers on and behind the stage with standing ovations.
Before that, they experienced an impressive performance: While the Rostock Youth Symphony Orchestra presented a specially arranged version of the HUMAN musical work conducted by Johannes Lang, pupils from the GodeWindSchule interpreted the 13 HUMAN themes with performative scenes, rap and community dance directed by Yvonne Middelborg from LAG Tanz Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
More than 100 young people and all the organizers demonstrated very impressively that something so unique can only be created together. HUMAN Rostock was a major joint project: the GodeWindSchule Rostock, the Rostock Youth Symphony Orchestra/Conservatory, the LAG Tanz Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the Volkstheater Rostock worked together for the first time.
The HUMAN project Rostock started in autumn 2023 and was funded by Zur Bühne from the German Stage Association as part of Kultur macht stark from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Zur Bühne des Deutschen Bühnenvereins im Rahmen von Kultur macht stark des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung gefördert.
