HUMAN is a full-length dance production by IceLab Leipzig e.V. on ice skates. The audience can expect a dance-based exploration of the topicality of human rights and the importance of humanity.
With the contemporary dance piece on skates, IceLab Leipzig is presenting its first major production in the ice arena. Under the artistic direction of choreographer Laura Wolf, the IceLab company and around 20 amateur dancers will create various scenes on the ice from their individual perspectives on the topic. The project is inspired by the HUMAN International Culture Project.
“We want the play to appeal to a broad audience,” explains Laura Wolf. “It should be accessible and approachable for young to old and people from different cultural or socio-economic backgrounds. The performance is a unifying experience that gives hope.”
After the performance, the audience has the opportunity to dance and skate freely together on the ice rink. Skates can be rented on site.
