Community dance performance at the Ernst-Barlach-Theater in Güstrow
Young people from Gadebusch and the surrounding area bring to the stage their interpretations of HUMAN themes as the finale of a collaborative and creative community dance project. In a number of workshops, they have developed these themes with choreographer Yvonne Middelborg and theatre teacher Stephan Wagner, reflecting on their own dreams, desires and feelings, and translated them into dance.
The community dance project “Mensch sein!” is being realised by the Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Tanz Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V. in cooperation with the FreiRaum Gadebusch children’s and youth centre and the Ernst-Barlach-Theater Güstrow.
The project is supported by the “Human International Culture Project” and is being realised as part of the “tanz + theater machen stark” programme of the Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste e.V. (Federal Association of Independent Performing Arts), with financial support from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
